India lost against South Africa in the ongoing T20 World Cup on Sunday. In the same match, Indians got bad news about an important member of the team. Dinesh Karthik injured his back while performing as wicketkeeper. When he left the field injured, Rishabh Pant took over with the gloves in the last few overs.

 

However, the condition of Karthik’s injury is not yet known. After leaving the field, he is under the supervision of a physio. Meanwhile, regarding Karthik’s injury, his teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar said after the match, “Karthik has a back problem. I didn’t see him after the match. I will find out what the physio says when I get back to the hotel.”

 

Meanwhile, Karthik has not been able to shine even with the bat in the World Cup so far. In his place, Pant is sitting on the Indian bench. This wicket-keeper batsman is always ready to take Karthik’s place. India will play against Bangladesh on November 2. However, it is not known whether Karthik will be seen in that match or Pant will play.

 

Pant has not got a chance in a single match in this World Cup so far. However, even if he doesn’t get a chance in the match, his bat has no rest. He is keeping himself ready with regular batting and fielding practice. Even before the match against South Africa, he was seen batting aggressively in the nets. Pant may prove it if he gets a chance on the field.
