In order to attract tourists and enhance the tourism industry, Iran stated that it will abolish visa fees for attendees of Qatar’s 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Iran stated on Wednesday that it will abolish visa fees for 2022 FIFA World Cup spectators in the hopes of attracting football lovers to Qatar for the tournament. Ali Bahadori-Jahromi, the Iranian government’s spokesperson, tweeted that the Iranian Cabinet has agreed to waive visa fees for 2022 World Cup spectators who intend to visit Iran. He went on to say that this decision will help the country’s tourism business.

Ali Bahadori-Jahromi, the spokesperson of the Iranian government commented that the Cabinet agreed to waive visa fees for visitors to Iran who will be attending the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. This measure is intended to attract people to visit Iran during the World Cup, thereby boosting the country’s tourism business.

This comes after Qatari Transport Minister Jassim bin Saif al-Sulaiti visited Iran’s Kish island on Sunday and Monday, when he inked six cooperation agreements, according to Iran’s official IRNA news agency. Kish is a vacation island with white sand beaches that covers 92 square kilometres (35 square miles). The capital of Qatar is a 40-minute flight or a six-hour boat journey away.

The FIFA World Cup will be held in the Middle East for the first time in 2022, with Qatar hosting the tournament for the first time.

FIFA’s commitment to conduct at least one major international event in the region before 2030 was reflected in the decision to host FIFA World Cup 2022. Despite widespread opposition to the Qatar 2022 tournament, FIFA opted to proceed with the event in the Middle Eastern country.

FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 competition to be played in the winter

During the final vote in 2010, FIFA chose Qatar over rival bids from Australia, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. The FIFA World Cup is generally held in the summer, however Qatar 2022 will be held in the winter. The decision was mostly motivated by the country’s scorching summer weather.

According to Sportingnews.com, the decision was made due to severe heat in Qatar, with average temperatures at the end of April hitting around 92 F (33 C). Winter temperatures in Qatar, particularly in the Doha region, range from 70 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit (21 to 25 degrees Celsius), compared to above 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius) in the summer.

FIFA Issues Stern Warning To Qatar Hotels Over LGBTQ+ Discrimination

Qatar Hotels are being warned by FIFA for discriminating against LGBTQ+ people

Following a media survey, it was revealed that numerous Qatari hotels on FIFA’s list of recommended accommodations are planning to refuse LGBTQ+ persons entry.

Hotels or other service providers who discriminate against LGBTQ+ persons will have their contracts cancelled during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, FIFA announced on Saturday. FIFA said in a statement that it will thoroughly investigate any complaints of discrimination against same-sex couples and, if required, will take appropriate action. This comes after a media poll revealed that numerous Qatari hotels on FIFA’s list of preferred lodgings are planning to bar LGBTQ+ guests from entering.

Journalists from Denmark, Sweden, and Norway posed to be gay couples and called a number of hotels in Qatar to book rooms for their honeymoon, according to reports. At least three of FIFA’s 69 approved hotels refused to book rooms for the journalists who pretended to be same-sex couples. Meanwhile, 20 additional hotels on the same list agreed to let the journalists remain if they promised not to expose their sexual orientation while in Qatar. On the other hand, 33 hotels stated that same-sex couples were welcome to stay on their grounds.

FIFA on discrimination against LGBTQ+ people

It’s worth noting that one of the primary reasons hotels refuse to accommodate gay couples is that homosexuality is illegal in Qatar. FIFA, on the other hand, has accepted the claim and stated that it will speak with all service providers linked with the 2022 Qatar World Cup once more to educate them on the stringent rules that must be observed when greeting competition visitors. FIFA has also indicated that it will conduct regular inspections throughout the World Cup to ensure that service providers follow the rules.

FIFA posted in a statement that hotels, as well as any other service provider affiliated with the FIFA World Cup, will have their contracts canceled if they fail to meet the organisers’ high requirements. Furthermore, the aforementioned rules will be emphasised in awareness-raising seminars and then monitored and evaluated through audits and inspections of hotels associated with the FIFA World Cup.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 is set to take place in Qatar this year. This highly-anticipated event will be held from November 21 to December 18. A total of 32 countries will compete for the world’s most prestigious football trophy. The tournament will get off with a match between Qatar and Ecuador, followed by a match between Senegal and the Netherlands.

Qatar 2022 will be remembered for the epic clashes that will take place in its eight stadiums throughout the course of the 64 matches that will be contested. It will also be the first FIFA World Cup in which 25 international soccer stars compete.

The commemoration of a FIFA World Cup creates a lasting impression on all those who take part in it in some form. The first time a fan watches a match of this event, when a journalist covers it, or when a soccer player participates in it, is unforgettable. Qatar 2022 will undoubtedly be a World Cup with numerous firsts.

The FIFA World Cup has never been held in the Middle East in its 92-year history, with only 21 editions. The African continent, notably the 2010 edition in South Africa, was the most extraordinary venue to hold it.

Another first will be the date of the Qatar 2022 event. This tournament has never been conducted on a date other than May, June, or July. The World Cup, which begins on November 21 and ends on December 18, will be an early Christmas treat for millions of fans throughout the world.

Soccer stars to play their first FIFA World Cup at Qatar 2022

There could be a variety of reasons for this, but there is a group of talented players who have never had the opportunity to participate in the world’s most prestigious competition, the FIFA World Cup, during their careers.

So, from November 21 to December 18, you’ll see a parade of soccer players who, barring a true disaster such as injury, indiscipline, or an off-field issue, will have their first FIFA World Cup encounter on the fields of Qatar 2022.

Marc Andre Ter Stegen – Germany – 30 yo

True, but it’s incomprehensible. One of the top goalkeepers in the world has not been able to include the FIFA World Cup in his list of competitions. Ter Stegen is hoping to redeem himself in Qatar after being left out of Brazil 2014 and not playing a single moment in Russia 2018.

Rodrygo – Brazil – 21 yo

Another Real Madrid treasure that Brazil hopes to exploit in Qatar in 2022. Rodrygo’s inclusion in the upcoming World Cup lineup gives Tite a lethal tool to deploy if things don’t go as planned, despite the fact that he has yet to receive the exposure he hopes for.

Screenshot_5

Eduardo Camavinga – France – 19 yo

Camavinga has proven that wearing a Real Madrid shirt does not limit him, and now it is his opportunity to do the same with the France National Team in Qatar 2022, assuming Didier Deschamps provides him a spot in a star-studded lineup.

Screenshot_6

Pedri – Spain – 19 yo

Another wonderkid who is cynical about displaying his full potential on the field with FC Barcelona week after week. He already demonstrated what he is capable of on major platforms at the past European Cup, and he is anticipated to showcase his entire skill in Qatar 2022 with Luis Enrique’s extremely youthful Spanish national side.

Screenshot_7

Rodri – Spain – 25 yo

Manchester City and the Spanish national team have the luxury of having the calm, technical, and consistent player that every team desires. Rodri is the true balance point in both teams’ midfields, and Qatar 2022 is awaiting him to prove his worth in front of the entire globe.

Screenshot_8

Dusan Vlahovic – Serbia – 22 yo

The modern attacker’s prototype. Tall, strong, but with an endless quantity of ball-handling resources and, most importantly, a fantastic scoring skill. Vlahovic was a significant bet for Juventus, and he has not disappointed. Now it’s his country’s time to cheer on their wonderkid in the FIFA World Cup.

Screenshot_9

Phil Foden – England – 21 yo

A precocious genius that stunned the world with his abilities from a young age. The Manchester City player is part of a fantastic generation of footballers who are determined to end England’s unjust international winless streak once and for all.

Mason Mount – England – 23 yo

Another member of a golden generation of outstanding English players entrusted to Gareth Southgate to make them shine brightly in Qatar 2022. Screenshot_11

Virgil Van Dijk – Netherlands – 30 yo

The debate over whether Van Dijk is the top centre defender in the world is raging. And the Liverpool star has been one of the pillars in the team’s quest to reclaim its former glory through trophies. Qatar 2022 is the final tournament he needs to complete his collection of fantastic venues.

Screenshot_12

Frenkie De Jong – Netherlands – 25 yo

The best piece of introduction for this excellent midfielder is being one of the prominent names of an absolute elite squad like FC Barcelona. De Jong will be seeking to assist the Netherlands in return to the FIFA World Cup with a superb touch on the ball and strong performance.

Screenshot_13

Lautaro Martinez – Argentina – 24 yo

The first significant historical date for a striker who has high expectations from his country. With Lionel Messi on his way out, the Albiceleste are looking for youthful talent to step up and seize the reins. Qatar 2022 is the ideal setting for the Inter Milan slayer to take centre stage for Argentina.

Screenshot_14

Julian Alvarez – Argentina, 22 yo

If the topic of discourse is world soccer’s jewels, the striker who emerged from River Plate’s academy must be mentioned. Alvarez will join Lionel Messi and Angel di Maria in Qatar in 2022, and he is already a new player for Guardiola’s Manchester City, having signed a contract in 2022.

Screenshot_15

Takefusa Kubo – Japan – 20 yo

Captain Tsubasa’s wonderkid, who aspires to be him in real life. Kubo is a Real Madrid player who has been loaned out to various LaLiga teams to hone his skills. Qatar 2022 is the ideal opportunity for him to demonstrate to Los Merengues that he is prepared to join their team.

Screenshot_16

Takumi Minamino – Japan – 27 yo

To be a part of a team as powerful and successful as Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool requires talent, which Minamino possesses. The winger requires a large stage, such as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, to make his point.

Screenshot_17

Ronald Araujo – Uruguay – 23 yo

Without a question, one of Uruguay’s crown jewels. He has demonstrated crucial defensive circumstances at FC Barcelona, which Uruguay, coached by Diego Alonso, seeks to exploit at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Qatar 2022 will be his first major stage to showcase his abilities with his National Team.

Screenshot_18

Federico Valverde – Uruguay – 23 yo

The Uruguayan national team’s rebuilding effort is predicated on the transformation of players who are naturally defensive to players who can generate a lot of offence, such as the Real Madrid midfielder. In Qatar 2022, Valverde will be the offensive catalyst for Diego Alonso’s squad.

Screenshot_19

Thomas Partey – Ghana – 28 yo

Partey, 30, is an experienced player who offers his skill to Arsenal when Mikel Arteta needs it. However, despite a distinguished career, he has yet to play in a FIFA World Cup with Ghana, a goal he hopes to accomplish in Qatar 2022.

Joao Felix – Portugal – 22 yo

Atlético Madrid, managed by Diego Pablo Simeone, is one of the jewels of world soccer that is not having the greatest of circumstances. Felix understands that Qatar 2022, his first World Cup, has the potential to help him revalue his career, thus he will not hesitate to demonstrate all of his capabilities as a top striker.

Screenshot_20

Christian Pulisic – USMNT – 23 yo

The USMNT’s soul, the heir to all that the iconic Landon Donovan once symbolised. Pulisic is unhappy with his lack of visibility at Chelsea, and Qatar 2022 will be a key opportunity for him to show Tuchel and the rest of the world what he can do.

Screenshot_21

Oleksandr Zinchenko – Ukraine – 25 yo

The Ukraine national team is aiming to qualify for Qatar 2022 with the goal of bringing joy to their shattered society, and a large part of their hopes rest on players like the Manchester City player. Zinchenko hopes to play in his first World Cup to give his country a boost during these trying times.

Screenshot_22

Andrew Robertson – Scotland – 28 yo

Screenshot_23

Gareth Bale – Wales – 32 yo

The Real Madrid player has a long list of accomplishments, titles, and accolades. Gareth has yet to play in a World Cup, despite being one of the best players in the world since Ryan Giggs. Jos Buttler currently on top of the list for Orange Cap IPL 2022

With his half-century against GT, Jos Buttler remains at the top of the rankings. He is leading the run-scoring statistics with 588 runs so far in the 2022 IPL. Following Buttler, are KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Abhishek Sharma, and Shreyas Iyer.

KL Rahul increased his season run total to 451 runs in 10 innings. For the fourth year in a row, the LSG captain has scored 400 runs in an IPL season. He anchored the first innings with a 77-ball 51-run effort that contained four fours and five sixes. He’s still second on the list, trailing only Jos Buttler.

Quinton de Kock, his opening partner, continued his recent success with useful innings at the top of the order. The wicket-keeper hitter hit a quickfire 23 off 13 deliveries, bringing his season total to 294, good for sixth place on the list.

Deepak Hooda’s important fifty propelled him to number ten on the list, giving LSG three batsmen in the top ten of the IPL 2022 Orange Cap list.

So, who was the winner last year in IPL 2021?

In IPL 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad was undoubtedly the greatest batsman on display.

Gaikwad, who was 24 years old at the time, has been the youngest player in the IPL’s history to win an Orange Cap, which is awarded to the season’s best run-getter. The 24-year-old scored 635 runs in 16 innings, just two more than second-placed CSK teammate Faf du Plessis.

He was one of the most consistent batters of the season, averaging 45.35 and striking out at a rate of 136.26. The CSK star hit 64 fours in the IPL 2021, the most by any batter. He also hit 23 sixes, which was second only to KL Rahul’s 30.

Gaikwad also smashed a century against Rajasthan Royals in the UAE leg, which was the only century of the tour.

The IPL’s highest run-scorer receives an orange cap each year. During the course of the season, the batsman with the most runs in the event would wear the Orange Cap while fielding. The overall leading run-scorer at the end of the competition would win the Orange Cap on the day of the league’s final. To date, only two players, David Warner and Chris Gayle have won the competition twice.

On Tuesday, Punjab Kings defeated table-toppers Gujarat Titans to win their fifth game of the IPL 2022 season. They thrashed GT and won with four overs to spare.

After winning the toss, the Gujarat Titans elected to bat first. They didn’t get off to a good start as Shubham Gill was run out by Rishi Dhawan’s excellent fielding.

Wriddhiman Saha was then dumped by Kagiso Rabada. After that, Rishi Dhawan stepped to the bowling crease and took Hardik Pandya’s wicket.

GT’s innings never got underway since they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. GT’s top player was Sai Sudharsan, who scored 65 off 50 balls to assist his team reach 143 runs.

PBKS’ top bowler, Kagiso Rabada, with four wickets for 32 runs.

For the night, Punjab Kings had a different opening duo, with Jonny Bairstow combining with Shikhar Dhawan at the top. The strategy, however, did not pay off, as Bairstow was sent out in the third over himself. The second wicket partnership of Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Shikhar Dhawan added 87 runs. Dhawan also reached the milestone of 50. Liam Livingstone finished the game with 4 overs to spare after scoring 30 runs off 10 balls.

PBKS now has ten points after this victory. They are now ranked 5th in the points standings. Despite the setback, GT is still comfortably ahead of the competition at the top of the standings.

The IPL 2022 action is heating up as teams compete for a spot in the top four. The Gujarat Titans have already won a top-two spot with 18 points, but the points table is still wide open for the other teams to compete.

With 16 points, the Rajasthan Royals(RR) are now in second place and appear to be on track to make the playoffs. One of the key reasons for their continued success has been the performance of their batters, particularly Jos Buttler, who continues to lead the league in runs scored. In terms of the leading run-getters in the competition, he continues to wear the orange cap and is head and shoulders above the other batters.

The 31-year-old has 627 runs at an average of 52.25 and a strike rate of 148.22 in 13 games. Despite the fact that his pace and consistency have slowed in recent weeks, the English star remains a run engine for the RR this season. If the team wants to advance to the playoffs and win the championship, it must first qualify.

KL Rahul of the Lucknow Super Giants(LSG) is ranked second, despite not having had the finest of seasons by his standards. The 30-year-old batter has so far scored 469 runs in 13 matches thanks to two tonnes. He must now refocus because LSG is still to be formally qualified. They need their captain to start getting large runs in the upcoming games.

RR defeated LSG by 24 runs at Brabourne Stadium on Sunday, handing the newcomers their second consecutive loss.

The losing captain KL Rahul commented that it appeared to be a reachable aim. It was an excellent pitch. The bowlers were helped by a new ball. They bowled well enough to keep the opponents under that total. They were confident in their ability to achieve that goal, but they were unable to carry out their plans. Once again, the batting order has failed to deliver, as it has over the past few matches. Rahul mentioned that the Pune pitch was much more difficult. This is an excellent pitch with some seam movement. When you lose two wickets in an over, you’re under a lot of strain. They have lost three or four wickets as a batting team in the powerplay on a few occasions. They need to figure out how to have a strong start when the ball is moving. The captain remarked that he doesn’t believe they will do anything different in the final league game. It’s all about getting out there and doing what they want to do. He added that they always have enough time to make up if they can keep their cool when batting and play out a bowler who is bowling a terrific spell. They have the strength. It’s all about being strategic.

David Warner, one of the most prolific batsmen in the IPL, is batting third and, after a difficult start to the season, has regained his form. In 11 matches, the 35-year-old Aussie has scored 427 runs at an average of 53.38 with a strike rate of 151.95. The Australian star has won the Orange Cap the most times (3).

Sachin Tendulkar is the first Indian player to win the Orange Cap award in the IPL. In 2010, the famous cricketer scored 618 runs. Matthew Hayden, Michael Hussey, Robin Uthappa, Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, and KL Rahul are the other players who have won the award.
