Suryakumar Yadav is getting ready for the World Cup
Suryakumar Yadav is the most feared batsman in India’s batting lineup in T20 recently. This right-handed middle-order batsman is creating a storm in twenty-two yards with the bat. After ABD Villiers, he is called the 360-degree cricketer.
Suryakumar has a World Cup mission ahead of him to play shots around the field.
And this Indian batsman is preparing himself for this tournament on Australian soil.
After the first practice session with the team in Australia, Suryakumar said about his preparation, ”I was looking forward to the first practice after coming here. I saw what it was like to run on the field. It was great to practice for the first time. Wanted to see how the speed and bounce here.”
Surya did not get much chance in the team in the previous World Cup. And he is one of India’s batting pillars in this World Cup. Basically he is India’s dependent batsman at number 4 position at the moment.
Surya is practicing on the ground of Australia. Stating that the main goal is to adapt to the conditions there, Suryakumar said, ”In the first practice, the speed and bounce of the wicket was quite good. I heard that the field here is very big. I came and saw that. How to run in these fields, you have to plan.”
Saying the mantra of success in the World Cup, Suryakumar also said, ”I started at a slow pace. I will not hide the tension that is working inside. But it is very important to adapt to the environment and play correctly at the right time. If you don’t play by following a certain process, chances of success are low.”
Australia and South Africa series at home saw Surya’s batting brilliance. This current 360-degree cricketer wants to retain this form. India depends a lot on this batter for success. Pakistan’s Wasim Akram has bet on this Indian. Can Surya shine?
